There are seasons when life asks more of us than we have space to hold… when the mind keeps moving, but the body quietly tightens and carries it all.
This day retreat is a return.
A return to slower rhythms, to breath, to the quiet intelligence of your body that already knows how to come back into balance—when given the space.
Together, we’ll move through a thoughtfully held day of grounding and restorative practices designed to support your nervous system in unwinding from chronic stress and overstimulation. Through gentle somatic work, meditation, and immersive sound healing, you’ll be guided into deeply restorative brainwave states where the body can soften, regulate, and repair.
Held in the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this immersive experience invites your nervous system to soften and unwind. Surrounded by trees, fresh air, and open space, we allow nature to do what it does best—gently regulate, ground, and restore. There will be time in nature… time to lie back and simply receive… time without pressure, without urgency.

If you have trouble meditating, this is also for you! The instruments and the way Dawn plays them help to neutralize thoughts. You can also look at this event as a "mind training" exercise; more and more of us are distracted and with low attention span nowadays, simply because of all the distractions in our lives, our phones and social media demands, and all the other aspects of our lives. Utilize this day to help your brain focus, be present, and experiment with brain training. Our brains are capable of so much! Often they just need a little exercise to learn and create new neural pathways.

Dawn Sagonias is a Sound Healing Practitioner, Yoga Nidra facilitator, E-RYT 200 Yoga teacher in Kundalini Yoga and Hatha-based Yoga, and pursuing her 500 hour yoga certificate, and has been in the field of Well-Being for 26 years, with massage therapy, energy work, sound healing, yoga, meditation, and hospitality. She runs the Inner Wolf Retreat Space and the Sound Nest, two sound healing studios in the Asheville area. Her sound healing sessions focus on relaxing the brain to the theta brainwave state for the whole hour of sound, and supports physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual support. She has facilitated sound healing sessions since 2015, including leading a weekly grief support sound healing for 4 years, and her sessions have helped many people integrate life’s plot twists.
