About the event

Reclaiming Calm: A Mental Health Reset Retreat

What would it feel like to step away from the noise, the obligations, the constant stream of thoughts and responsibilities—and remember what it feels like to simply be?

Reclaiming Calm is a restorative day retreat designed for those who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depleted, burned out, or simply in need of a pause. Whether you're navigating a demanding season of life, caring for others, moving through grief or transition, or carrying the weight of a busy mind, this retreat offers a gentle space to slow down, reconnect, and reset.

When was the last time you truly felt calm?

Not distracted. Not busy. Not rushing to the next thing. Not carrying the weight of everyone else's needs.

Just calm.

In today's world, many of us spend our days moving from one responsibility to the next, carrying a constant undercurrent of stress, worry, stimulation, and decision-making. Over time, our minds become crowded, our nervous systems become depleted, and we can lose touch with the deep sense of peace that exists beneath the noise. We get irritated more easily, we feel we don't want to be around people, we develop a sense of disappointment and underwhelm (or overwhelm) with life.

Reclaiming Calm is a day-long Mental Health Reset Retreat designed to help you step away from daily pressures and reconnect with a more grounded, centered version of yourself.

Set among the forests, gardens, ponds, and flowing waters of Inner Wolf Retreat Space, this immersive experience offers a gentle invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and remember what it feels like to simply be.

The day begins with a deeply restorative sound healing journey. As the vibrations of crystal singing bowls, Himalayan bowls, gongs, harmonium, and other therapeutic instruments wash over you, your body is invited into a state of profound rest and relaxation. Many participants describe these sessions as helping quiet mental chatter, release tension, and create a sense of spaciousness within. We begin with the sound healing so you can arrive and immediately rest.

From there, you'll move into a period of quiet solitude with a self-guided walking meditation across the retreat grounds. With no destination and nowhere to be, you'll have the opportunity to slow your pace, engage your senses, and reconnect with the natural world around you. The forests, gardens, ponds, and mountain air become partners in the practice of presence.

After a nourishing homemade lunch, we'll gather at the river for a gentle water blessing ceremony. Water has long symbolized renewal, release, and transformation. Through reflection and simple ritual, you'll be invited to acknowledge what you are ready to set down and what you wish to welcome into your life moving forward.

The afternoon continues with Yoga Nidra, often called "yogic sleep," a guided meditation practice that allows the body to enter profound states of rest while the mind remains gently aware. This practice can be especially supportive for those experiencing stress, anxiety, fatigue, grief, or difficulty slowing down.

We'll conclude the day with meditation and quiet integration, giving you space to absorb the experiences of the day and return home feeling more rested, grounded, and connected to yourself. The meditation chosen will be tailored to the group's needs and a very accessible and attainable meditation.

This retreat is not about fixing yourself.

It is about creating the conditions for healing, clarity, and restoration to naturally emerge.

You do not need prior experience with meditation, sound healing, or mindfulness practices. Simply bring an open mind and a willingness to slow down.
